Please note: 
if you have a pre-existing adobe installation on your computer (Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.) please follow steps 1 – 10

Begin at step 10


  1. Go To https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1nbjNqPN1n5bo269uUWkA67RTlcaG3gCv?usp=sharing


  2. Download and unzip the cleaner tool


  3. Open the cleaner tool (.dmg)


  4. Open the cleaner tool (.app)


  5. Click ‘Open’


  6. Type in your device passcode (if required)


  7. Accept the T&C’s


  8. Click ‘Clean All’ and follow the prompts (if required)


  9. Click ‘Quit’


  10. Go To https://apps.edustar.vic.edu.au/chat


  11. Login using your DET ID and EduPass Password

  12. Type in the utterance ‘Can I get an Adobe license please?’ and click the send button (or press enter)



  13. Wait One Hour


  14. Go to https://www.adobe.com/au/

  15. Click on Sign In

  16. In the email address box write in firstname.lastname@education.vic.gov.au


  17. In the sign in box use your DET ID for the User ID and your eduPass Password for your Password


  18. Click ‘Desktop Apps’



  19. Click ‘Download’ for the app you want to install
    (If it shows ‘Buy Now’ ensure you have waited one hour for it to change to ‘Download’)



  20. If Adobe asks for skill level or role respond with the relevant details and “Beginner” click next it should begin to install

  21. If you get a message similar to the image shown below click ‘Allow’



  22. You should see a window similar to the below image



  23. if not launch the <application>_installer.dmg in your downloads folder



  24. Run the installer



  25. The app should now work as desired



  26. Repeat steps 19-24 for all desired applications

  27. If Adobe launches the Creative Cloud installer (which will appear in the ribbon at the top of your screen)



  28. You may need to login again Use your firstname.lastname@education.vic.gov.au


  29. Fill out the sign in box again


  30. You should now be able to install apps from Creative Cloud



  31. If you get an error on this page along the lines of “You do not have access to manage apps please contact your IT Administrator” please bring the affected device to the IT Office
